Airdrie Plumbing and Heating for Your Home

Airdrie homes get the same plumbing and heating services we offer in Calgary: furnaces and boilers, water heaters and softeners, drain cleaning, leak repair and sump pumps. Every job is done by a licensed Red Seal journeyman. We obtain the required permits for the work we do in Airdrie.

797 Luxstone Landing SW, Airdrie, AB T4B 3K9. Call 403-800-0050, Monday to Friday, 8:00 to 5:00.

We come to you: all of our work is done in your home.

As the City of Airdrie explains, Airdrie buys its water from the City of Calgary, which treats it, and that water comes from the Elbow and Bow Rivers. The City of Calgary describes its water as hard because of the calcium and magnesium in the water from those two rivers.

A. O. Smith, the water heater maker, says hard water minerals can collect at the bottom of a tank and cause overheating, cracks and leaks. Our journeymen repair and service tank water heaters; see what water heater maintenance involves. If you are thinking about a water softener, our technicians can test your water’s hardness on site.

Before You Call a Plumber in Airdrie

Yes. Calgary, Airdrie, Chestermere and Okotoks all get the same range of plumbing and heating services. Our work is for homes only, and our hours are the same in Airdrie as in Calgary: Monday to Friday, 8:00 to 5:00. You can see all our services on one page.

A licensed technician comes to you, looks at the problem and gives you your options with a firm price before any work starts. The visit is $69.99, waived if you go ahead. The same fee applies in Airdrie as in Calgary. We don’t give prices over the phone.

A licensed Red Seal journeyman with a plumbing and a gasfitter certificate, never an apprentice. The same journeyman quotes your job and does the work. Alberta’s rules make plumbing a compulsory certification trade: its restricted activities need a journeyperson certificate or registration as an apprentice. You can look up a tradesperson’s certificate with Alberta’s Tradesperson Lookup Tool.

Most installations and repairs carry a one-year workmanship warranty, and a whole-house repipe or a main shut-off replacement carries three years. Parts carry the manufacturer's warranty, usually one to six years depending on the brand. Maintenance, such as a tank flush, is not warranted. Ask us about the warranty on your job.

The City of Airdrie owns the water service line from the main to your property line, and it maintains and repairs that part. From your property line into your home, the line is yours to maintain and repair. If you see pooling water, saturated ground or water flowing where it shouldn’t be, the City asks you to report it to the City’s Water Services. Inside your home, we find and fix a leaking pipe.

The City of Airdrie says you are responsible for the section of sewer line on your property, between the house and the property line. Most sewer backups, the City adds, happen when the line is plugged or needs maintenance. Tree roots, grease or debris flushed down a drain can block it. We clean main drain lines, with a camera inspection as an option, and we install backwater valves to help protect your home from sewage backing up.

According to the City of Airdrie, a water softener, a hot water tank or a filtration system can change how your water tastes, looks or smells. Check those first. If your water pressure suddenly drops very low, or you have no water at all, contact the City right away. If the cause is your softener or water heater, our journeymen repair and service water softeners of all brands, and tank and gas tankless water heaters.
